Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Chinese Exchange Students Embark on 14-Day Program at Angkor University

As part of the vibrant and forward-looking 2nd Chinese Student Exchange Program in Guizhou Province, a delegation of students and educators from Qiannan Normal University for Nationalities and Step Forward International School ( S.I.S) is embarking on an enriching 14-day educational and cultural journey to Angkor University. This special visit is a celebration of international friendship and academic collaboration, bringing together young minds across borders to learn, grow, and connect.

Under the inspiring theme "Planning for Thousands of Outstanding Students to Study Abroad in 2025," the program is designed to nurture a global mindset and prepare students for future international study opportunities. Throughout the visit, participants will take part in interactive workshops, academic exchanges, cultural activities, campus tours, and student dialogues, all aimed at deepening mutual understanding and appreciation between Chinese and Cambodian communities.

More than just a study tour, this immersive experience is a gateway to cross-cultural communication, knowledge-sharing, and the formation of long-lasting relationships. Students will not only gain insights into Cambodian education and culture but also reflect on their roles as future global citizens. Angkor University’s Top Management Engages in Erasmus+ Mobility Training in Brussels to Enhance Higher Education Quality and International Collaboration

From June 16 to 18, 2025, the top management team of Angkor University actively participated in a significant mobility training program held in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the Erasmus+ Program 2024–2027 funded by the European Union. This prestigious program focuses on advancing the quality of higher education through international collaboration, academic innovation, and strategic capacity building. The training sessions, which brought together academic leaders from multiple countries, centered on key themes such as internationalization strategies, strengthening institutional cooperation, and expanding global partnerships. Angkor University’s delegation engaged in interactive workshops, panel discussions, and expert-led presentations that explored best practices in international university collaboration, student and faculty exchange programs, and transnational education frameworks.

A special highlight of the mission was a productive visit to the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Belgium, where the university management had the honor of meeting with Cambodian diplomatic representatives. Discussions during this visit centered on enhancing Cambodia–EU educational relations, promoting student mobility, and strengthening the global presence of Cambodian higher education institutions.

Angkor University’s active involvement in the Erasmus+ training program reflects its strong commitment to educational excellence, regional integration, and its long-term vision of becoming a competitive institution in the global academic arena. The Erasmus+ co-funded BEST Project (Boosting Excellence in Second-Tier HEIs)

The Erasmus+ co-funded BEST Project (Boosting Excellence in Second-Tier HEIs) officially launched with a successful Kick-off Meeting held on December 9-10, 2024, at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. The project, part of the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) initiative, aims to strengthen second-tier Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Cambodia and Vietnam by enhancing internationalisation, governance and institutional capacity.
Running from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2027, the BEST Project brings together 8 partners from 5 EU and non-EU countries:

The Top Management of AngKor University attend the 70th Anniversary of Kunming University of Science and Technology

The top management of Angkor University participated in the 5th Lancang-Mekong College Students' Goodwill Games and the 7th South and Southeast Asia College Student Culture and Sports Week. This event, which took place in Kunming, China, was hosted by Kunming University of Science and Technology to celebrate its 70th anniversary. The program's purpose was to foster stronger bonds and promote cultural exchange among partner universities while featuring various sporting events including football, volleyball, and badminton. Additionally, a forum was held to address ways to enhance the quality of higher education.
