The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Angkor University (A.U.) is proud to showcase its latest student project: The Tropical House Design. This initiative highlights the professional caliber of our students as they bridge the gap between complex architectural theory and sustainable practical application.

The "Tropical House" is more than a structure; it is a solution. Our students focused on four key pillars of tropical architecture:

  • Passive Cooling: Strategically designed layouts that maximize natural cross-ventilation.

  • Solar Orientation: Optimized positioning to harvest natural light while minimizing internal heat gain.

  • Sustainable Materials: Utilizing locally sourced and environmentally friendly materials that endure the humid tropical climate.

  • Modern Aesthetics: Harmonizing contemporary design with the lush, green landscapes of Cambodia.

This project embodies A.U.'s mission to produce architects with a vision—visionaries who prioritize social responsibility and environmental harmony in every blueprint they create.
